E-Mail Conviction???

I woke up this morning to an interesting story. A gentleman I guess apparently may be convicted as a result of reading his wife's e-mail. I suppose he suspected that she might be having an affair & decided to take matters into his own hands. Ultimately his gut instinct was right. But whether or not he handled this situation appropriately, well now that's up to the court system to decide. However, I do have my own personal opinion about this. To be honest I'm torn because there are two moral dilemmas here. The first being the issue of infidelity in their marriage. The other, the issue of one's privacy. So here's my take. I can sympathize with both parties in this case. First being the husband who like any other curious mate wanted to know whether or not his beloved wife was cheating on him. Secondly the wife who even in her trangression is entiled to privacy. So who's right???? I'd definitely categorize this topic as

** DEVIL**

Let me just explain why. Without taking sides in this case I'm going to say beyond a shadow of a doubt this is clearly another example of how the enemy causes division & strife in our homes. Isn't that what he's all about? My point is, this marriage might have been salvagable despite the wife's infidelity. However, you bring in the whole privacy issue and tempers flair even more so, adding fuel to fire. And it's probaly safe to say we have another divorce in the making. Though I hope not.

In any case God despises divorce and his judgement is utlimately what counts. So at this point the privacy issue is probably pointless anyway. Because my friends as optimistic as I try to be we're probably looking at another marriage that bites the dust. What are your thoughts?

Here is the link to the story in case you'd like to check it out.

"30 Rock" Star Gets Major Blessing!!!- Tracy Morgan's Kidney Transplant

So "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan has been blessed with a new kidney! After reading the article below I learned that he has suffered from diabetes since the year 1996. But you'd never know it because he has such a delightful/comedic spirit. So I'd have to deem this a moment of epic porportions. (Okay so I might be exaggerating a bit) but this is definitely a dream come true, no doubt.

So I take it you know where I'm going with this one. My rating for this story is definitely **Dream**

Someone's prayers were answered and this story is an illustration that miracles still exists in our chaotic world. I know that many may argue that because of his "celebrity" status this story really isn't noteworthy. And they may have a point as money does seem to produce better results under these dire circumstances. If I'm not mistaken I recently read that Natalie Cole had a kidney transplant as well.

Their argument would probably be that the "average joe" doesn't get such lucky breaks. I disagree, I think they do. It's just that we don't hear about their heartwarming stories. But in any case God's greatest commandment is that we love one another & I don't recall there being any financial restrictions attached. So that's why I felt compelled to post this. It just sucks that he wont be on "30 Rock" for a while as he recuperates. But anyway he seems to be a pretty upstanding guy & I wish him the best! Click on the link below to read the full story.

410 DAYS IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT

http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-national/20100923/US.Iran.US.Hikers/

TODAY'S HOT TOPIC- 410 Days in Solitary Confinement- Sarah Shourd's Story
**DREAM**

So here is a story that in my opinion is nothiing short of a dream come true. So that is why I labeled it such. Can you imagine you go out for a morning hike and you end up spending 410 days in solitary confinement? Well that of course is the story that Sarah Shourd tells in the article above. It is a story of courage, hope, and if I had to sum it up, clearly a miracle no doubt.

We have the reality shows like Survivor, the Amazing Race, etc. but what happens when something of this magnitude becomes a part of your everyday existence and it's no longer about a prize to be won at the end of the day or about hours and hours of television exposure. What happens when it becomes the norm? Though nothing in her story indicates a divine connection, clearly in my opinion  God was on her side. She made it out alive! Most of us on some level I think have incorporated  the "American Dream" into our vision of success. I'd imagine that your perspective changes a bit when your life is turned upside down like Sarah Shourd's was.

The other thing I wanted to point out is the fact that the 410 days of solitary confinement that she faced was only a glimpse of what others face all around the world from day to day. We take so much for granted in our culture. Yes this story had a happy ending thank God it did. But there are so many others who face captivity day in and day out. Our thoughts & prayers need to be re-directed to those individiuals not on which new car or house we're going to purchase. It's stories like Sarah Shourd's that I believe help to re-align our focus in life so that we can begin to put our thoughts on things that really matter.

Sarah Shourd is clearly a blessed woman and I'm sure she thanks God daily for her freedom. In your freedom today my fellow friends let us not forget those who live in captivity everyday of their lives whether it be physically or mentally. Her story is clearly one to remember, but there are so many other voices that may never be heard. It is our responsibility to help free the captives! Here is a scripture that I hope brings my point home.

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,  to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion-- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor

MICHELLE OBAMA DRAMA

http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-politics-whitehouse/20100916/US.Michelle.Obama.Carla.Bruni/

TODAY'S HOT TOPIC- MICHELLE OBAMA DRAMA-  *** DEVIL***

Well here we go again. When are we going to let up on all of the presidential drama? Now it's the whole issue of Michelle Obama saying that her job in the Whitehouse is hell and she can't stand it according to headline news. (See link above). Well I'd have to label this as a devilish moment, it's clearly an act of the enemy. With the devil's help people will do & say anything to tear each other apart. NEGATIVE NEGATIVE NEGATIVE...... But I guess that's what our media feeds on, so it doesn't surprise me one bit.

You know the enemies goal is to kill, steal, & destroy bottom line. And if he isn't messing with a person's character and dividing us on some level then I'd imagine we'd all be dead. Because that's just what he does. Even if Michelle Obama did make the alleged statement, she's human. I'd imagine being the "First Lady" is a grueling role. Not to mention the fact that she's also a mom & wife as well. So perhaps it is hell, but what's really hellish about this story is how the media gets a hold of it and makes it a theatrical production of sorts.

What are your thoughts on the Michelle Obama Drama.... DIVA, DREAM, OR DEVIL?

People let's try to uplift & encourage one another regardless of our roles/responsibilites in life. We all have bad days and perhaps Michelle may have been having one when she made the statement. That is, if she even made the statement. Either way, love covers a multitude of sin. The lesson to take away.... Okay I think this scripture say's it best.

Jesus answered, "The foremost is, 'Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' "The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
(NAS, Mark 12:28-31)

LADY GAGA

I'M EXCITED ABOUT WRITING THIS BLOG!

THIS IS HOW IT WILL WORK- I'll be taking HEADLINE NEWS & adding God's flava to the mix. Every week I'll be posting a news event and labeling it either "Diva" "Dream" or "Devil" of course I'll be explaining my reason for labeling it such. I definitely want you to jump right in & give your opinion as well on what you think about the feature story/video. At the end of course I'll be summing up the blog post by offering a bible verse, inspirtational poem, uplifting story etc. as it relates to the topic. I think this will be a very fun & uplifting way to put a new spin on today's hot topics.

TODAY'S HOT TOPIC - LADY GAGA-    *** DIVA***

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1647864/20100915/lady_gaga.jhtml

Well here I am offering my first critique as a Chrisitan writer. This is easily a toss up but I labeled it "diva" because Lady Gaga I think puts the "D" in diva. Not because she's superficial or ultra demanding. But because she's a diva at simply being who she is. Now I must admit she borders on bizzare for me, but that's just my personal taste. I know some would probably say that this could have crossed over into both the devil & the dream category as well. But here is a woman that's just being herself no matter how off the wall that may be. (Not to mention it's a pretty good marketing tecnique, come on now let's be honest). Now if that's not being a diva I don't know what it is. So now she's creating her own perfume hum? (See article above) Smells divaliscious to me............ I'm not implying that anything about Lady Gaga is divine or spiritual for that matter but I applaud anyone who is comfortable in their own skin. I know you've got an opinion so feel free to let me know you think.

What are your thoughts on Lady Gaga....DIVA, DREAM, OR DEVIL?

Okay so here's a poem I came across online, I hope this helps to awaken your divaliciousness!

Be Yourself
by Ellen Bailey

Why would you want to be someone else
When you could be better by being yourself
Why pretend to be someone you are not
When you have something they haven't got

Cheating yourself of the life you have to live
Deprives others of that only which you can give
You have much more to offer by being just you
Than walking around in someone else's shoes

Trying to live the life of another is a mistake
It is a masquerade; nothing more than a fake
Be yourself and let your qualities show through
Others will love you more for being just you

Remember that God loves you just as you are
To Him you are already a bright shining star
Family and friends will love you more too
If you spent time practicing just being you

Blessings~
